Personal Budgeting

The last thing the world needs is another blog that chronicles how bad things are, especially where our personal finances are concerned. What we need is a way out of the mess we’ve found ourselves in, regardless of how we got there.

We are a small group of creative people who have undertaken a project called BudgetSketch®, a project we hope will provide a plan for many families to help lift themselves out of their financial challenges and teach them how to avoid mistakes of the past through sound planning.

BudgetSketch® is about about helping to solve a critical problem… the ever mounting consumer debt ($2.6 trillion dollars) that is working to destroy our families. At it’s core, it is our response to a system that says to spend it as fast as you make it, and ignore sound planning in pursuit of the quick buzz.

There will never be a substitute for personal accountability and hard work, as these are the key ingredients for solving problems. It was once said that, if each of us would sweep our own porch… the whole street would be clean. What a perfect definition of BudgetSketch®. This tool is not the only solution, but it is one solution that we hope will help people gain control of their spending habits and present them with a clear plan for improving their financial situation.
